It came on pedagogic track as a school in 1984 and acquired the recognition of Dhaka Education Board in 1987.With its outstanding result and progression in all criteria, the college section came into being in 2000. This institution is run as per rules and regulations issued by the Ministry of Education and the Secondary & Higher Secondary Education Board, Dhaka; and overseen by the Governing Body composed of highly educated members drawing faculty members of Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre; mostly from Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration). The honorable Rector (Secretary to the Government) of BPATC, being the chair of the Governing Body, is performing a starring role for the upward mobility of every segment of this ideal station of studies.
